1. Government Relations: MGA is a statewide association that represents the food industry both at the state and federal levels. Our efforts help you save time and money by defeating costly and burdensome legislation and regulations before they become law.
2. Communications & Publications: Keeps our members informed on trends and legislation that have an effect on your business by receiving our communications - the Missouri Grocer magazine, Topline newsletter and our electronic mail.
3. Training/Educational materials: The MGA offers various programs designed to help in your day to day business: Thumbprint Identification Program, Food Safety and Alcohol Training Kits, as well as educational seminars at our annual convention each year.
4. MGEF Scholarship Program: Continue to provide a scholarship program that covers all members, employees and their dependents. Approximately $20,000 in scholarships awarded each year to qualified participants.
5. Member Benefits: As a member of MGA you have access to a network of endorsed services that enable you to improve your business as well as your profits. Such services as ATM programs, prepaid phone cards, self-funded workers' compensation insurance, coupon redemption and credit/debit processing.
6. Networking Opportunities/Annual Convention: From networking at our golf tournaments to our Convention and Merchandising Expo, these opportunities help you build relationships with key contacts in the industry.
